Prayers for Tolan's Surgery

If things are on schedule at the hospital (which they rarely are), Tolan should have been wheeled into surgery about 20 minutes ago. For those of you that read this post this morning, please join me and my family in prayers for him and the doctors and medical personnel. We have had enough medical drama lately, that we could really just use a "smooth sailing" no complications procedure today. He will be in recovery for a few hours afterwards, then will be released to begin recovery at home (he will be at his parents' home).

Tolan felt good this morning as he left for the procedure. I wish I could be there with him, but I am so grateful his mother is able to take care of him this weekend since I can't. Thanks again for all the support and prayers!

I will try to post again later with an update on him and any news from here. :)

Prayers for Tolan! And, continued prayers for your entire family. So fortunate to have your parents by your side at this time in life. They are an example of family unity and love.

Love reading about you and learning with you here in mortality! When we consider the words of Jesus, often he asked people to swim upstream. He told the fishermen to undo tradition and throw the net on the other side of the boat. He told Peter later in a dream to take the message of good news to the Gentiles, a message that was changing a tradition of "exclusivity" of nearly three thousand years. Jesus told his disciples to swim upstream, be kind to their enemies, and pray for them. He told his disciplese to swim upstream when he declared that they were to seek not the things of the world, which rust and can be stolen, but to seek first the kingdom of God, an invisible state of being, and store up treasures in heaven. Jesus' every message was "swim upstream." Jesus swam upstream...

Thank YOU for swimming upstream - doing the tough stuff and being grateful to God and submitting your will to His - truly, what it's ALL about!

Love YOU,

Leslie M.

Prayer are being extended for Tolan as well as for you and the rest of your family, I'm glad to help. As good of a writer as you are Jodi, maybe you should consider writing a book about challenges! The package would have to include a box of Kleenex, and I'm sure it would several hundred pages! I'm sure Tolan will go well. I hope you are well today also. Thinking of you always. I hope everything went OK with the surgery this morning. Kevin just had that exact same surgery in June! He did just fine. He stayed down for the weekend and then was back to work by Monday. It is still a little sore but feels much better than it did before the surgery. We will be praying for you and your family.
Love you,
Rebecca Donahue

We are joining you also in prayer that all will go well. Three in my family have had the same surgery and are so grateful they did. Good thought Leslie, and to add to it, Sarah Palin said recently, "Only dead fish go with the flow."
All the best.
