. . . . . . . Roll Call & Quick Update

In the 2 days since I posted the 25k visits drawing, there have been over 250 visits to the blog, but only 17 comment "entries" into the drawing! So, who are the rest of you out there, who are reading, but not entering the drawing?? If you don't care about the prize drawing, that is fine, think of this more as a "Roll Call". Whether you are my family, friends, or perfect strangers (and I emphasize the word PERFECT!:), please let us know you are out there.

I'll start. :)

See! It's as easy as that! :)

As for me, I am doing very well these days. The change in weather (again) is causing more issues in my head. When the barometer falls, I have all kinds of problems because I cannot equalize my right ear. When you can't adjust for the pressure, it just builds up until it feels like your head will explode. I tried to get an appointment with the surgeon who sealed my eustation tube (Dr. Orlandi) so I can ask him questions, but he is out of town. So, I get to ask his nurse instead and she will pass the messages on to him when he checks in. It may be a while.

One benefit of being in the hospital is that your questions get answered a lot faster than if you are a patient at home. :) Still, I'm so grateful to be at home blogging, rather than at the hospital watching someone else do it! My dad and Tolan were wonderful bloggers, but I think they would both agree, being at home is best for all of us! :)

Hey! I just read your post from two days ago, so cut me some slack:). I am definitely a reader, but a slacker at commenting. I am glad you are doing well. Maybe we'll see you at the park again soon!

Okay, okay...I read your blog daily, but I only actually contributed to it while you were in the hospital and I was writing the updates alternately with Tolan. Thanks for your sharing...it is always inspiring and you continue to be amazing in the way you handle all of this!

Love you...

Dad

Hi Jodi,I haven't been on the blog in a week or so so I missed out on the original "roll call" but I'm a friend of your dads from our Covey Leadership Center days. My families prayers have been with you since your hospital days and my kids will often ask, "how's Jodi doing". We're so happy to see your continued progress and continue to pray for your relief from ongoing issues. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

I admit, for the most part I am just a blog stalker. If I think I have something constructive to add, I do. I really do feel inspiered by you though and enjoy the chance to keep up with you and your family.

Jodi-
I dont have your email and this is the only way I have been able to see how you are doing! I am soooooo inspired by you and always have been. You have SUCH an amazing outlook on life. You have been a good mentor to me in many ways. When we worked together I really was a young kid that didnt understand much about life and I remember what you taught me there even though it was just a few months. Following your story, you have taught me the true meaning of faith and of trusting in the lord with ALL your heart no matter what the consequences. You are SUCH an inspiration to many. Never stop smiling and sharing your love, you have so much love for others and I think I speak for many when we say "thank-you" for how much you have touched our lives. I continue to pray for you and your adorable family! :)

Aloha, I've been in Honolulu for few days with my daughters. It was fun having girls time together. We had fun paddle boating and stand up Paddle surfing in the lagoon at the Hawaiian Hilton. It was fun to soak in the sun, relax, laugh,go shoe shopping,etc... I LOVE your blogs and what an amazing person you are..hugs to you!!!

I guess it is time for me to come out of my stalking closet! I found your blog awhile ago and there was something about your blog that caught my attention. Not just your amazing story and your awesome attitude towards everything, but for some reason I just felt like there was more than that.

Then you started posting about your grandma and your dad and it finally hit me! We are related! My mother in law, Luan Hixson, is first cousins with your dad and my husband, Vaughn, was named partly after him.

So the last little while I haven't felt so guilty about stalking, because I am just checking in on the family!

I am glad you are doing so much better and have come so far! Thanks for sharing your experiences!!

Our baby is finishing a bout with cancer, my daughter had a bone marrow transplant 2 years ago & my dad's brain tumor killed him, so your story and ways of healing are especially resonant with us right now.
