Extra Prayers, Please!

Aloha, the more aggressive approach to the lumbar drain from 10cc's per hour to 15cc's has been an exceptonally difficult one. The medications just aren't touching the pain in a way that even makes it bearable for Jodi. They have her on her left side now, so she isn't laying on the tube being used for the drain. They also are going to a constant drip rather than more intensive flows of the drain to see if that will help moderate the pain.

This is even hard to watch. She just whispered to me, "Dad, I don't know if I can take this! It's killing me!"

I know you are already praying constantly for Jodi and those prayers are so appreciated. If it is possible could a few extra prayers be offered today?

This morning as Sherri was getting Trenden and Lindi ready for school, Trenden said he wouldn't need lunch today, because he was going to fast for his Mom.

Thank you again for everything for have done and are doing to help!!! We love and appreciate you!!!

I can't imagine how extremely difficult this must be for Jodi, and for her family who watch her suffer. I am saddened to hear of the setbacks. We'll keep the prayers coming.

Ah Von, my heart is with you as well as with Jody. What a kind dad and man you are, and to witness your beloved daughter's suffering must be nearly as unbearable as her own pain.

I will dedicate and fill ALL my empty moments with prayer for Jodi.

Prayers are the easy part. The hard part is knowing how much Jodi is suffering. May you each get through one hr. at a time and if that is too much, then 5 minutes or one minute at a time. I hope the Drs. can find a medication or a level of medication that will ease the pain. I pray that the relief will come soon. Perhaps, another priesthood blessing will help. I'm sure that has been done, though. I have faith in your power to endure, Jodi. This seems like a test beyond comprehension. You can do more than you think. I pray that you will be given extra strength and I am hoping that you won't need it. Try and rest. The prayers and the love of your family and friends is constant. Much love and concern, Wendy T.

I am so sorry to hear about the continuing difficulty and pain. The majority of people will never know the amount of pain you are experiencing. Always remember that the Lord knows exactly how much pain you are experiencing and he is always there for you. My prayers will continue in your direction. I am looking forward to the good news update on your blog. You are an example for all of us. Love, April Blakeley

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity. - Albert Einstein

Hoping these quotes bring a smile to your face. Just know you have a world full of friends out here praying for you constantly and this terrible pain your suffering is only a moment in time and it too will ease, even though right now it seems like the pain will never go away. I pray you have some comfort and peace and are feeling better soon.

Dear Jodi,

Your name is on the Hong Kong China prayer roll everyday. Prayers are offered on your behalf by saints from Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, China, India, Macau and the USA just this week alone. Please hang in there and know that after the trials will come great blessings.

Our aloha,
