Surgery Required - No Doctor

We've learned that Dr. Couldwell won't be back back today afterall. He won't return until Tuesday. Dr. Shelton left last night. There is no doctor to do the surgery. So right now it looks like Jodi will remain in the hospital waiting for the surgery on Tuesday, when Dr. Couldwell returns.

Her fever, which had returned to normal yesterday afternoon, has flared up again.

Right now, I'm reading Jodi a book by S. Michael Wilcox entitled, "When Your Prayers Seem Unanswered." It is a wonderful book filled with insights that are uplifting and encouraging. This book was a gift from one the angels who stopped by to brighten Jodi's day on Tuesday.

Your comments on the blog have been a valued blessing this morning. Thank you!

Hey Jodi,
I can't wait until you come home! Do you remember Amanda? The one I brought to young women's with me in I think November or December! Well she said that she hopes you get feeling better! She is also coming to girls camp! Oh and I also hope you can go to girls camp! It wouldn't be as fun without you there!
I miss you!!
Jessica

No doctor? No way. All of you must just be shaking your heads. Maybe things will turn around before the Drs. return. That would be nice. This is a test of patience and endurance... for sure. (I am not big on tests.) I will have forward this story I read yesterday about thorns. You may find it appropriate. Wendy T.

Jodi and family we have faith that things will start to turn around and you will be home soon. I once had to stay in the hospital for 7 days and I thought I would go nuts. Hospitals are wonderful but enough is enough. We love you and miss your sweet spirit. Jerry and I send you all our love.

Hi Everyone,
We continue to pray not only for Jodi but for her family and all those who are there to strengthen her. We pray you will continue to have the ability to see to her needs--but also your own needs. Wish we could do more than pray and put her name in the Temples. We send you our love. Edgar & Jane

Jodi....I'm so sorry to hear about the latest setbacks. I can only imagine how discouraging it must be to you. I hope the book your dad is reading to you, brings some helpful 'insight' during this difficult time...it sounds like a good one. I will still be hoping and praying for another 'turnaround'. Good luck in the next few days...and remember miracles DO happen! Love, Karen

Sorry about the latest setback. And, a fever to top it off. Shoot! I'm so sorry that the spinal fluid started leaking again, but I'm glad it happened while you were in the hospital and not home yet. I can't believe the doctors are all gone until Tuesday. Major bummer. :( I pray that your fever will subside and that the upcoming surgery will be quick and alleviate all the problems.

Much love,
Brandi

Aloha Jodi & Family,
You don't know us, but just wanted to let you know that we are ALL praying for your speedy recovery! Although we have never met, through this blog, I feel like I know you ... also, I know your parents -- especially your Dad -- and know that you are blessed with an EXCEPTIONAL family. My family has spent more than our fair share of time in hospitals too, and I know what a strength family can be in these situations. I hope you feel our genuine LOVE for you and your family, and that things go smoothly with your recovery from here on out.
With Love and Aloha,
Jimmy M.
