Jodi had a better night last night than the night before and today has been a bit better as well, but fundamentally the headaches continue and she still can't get up and around without the headaches spiking. Jodi has asked me if I would ask you for some special and extra prayers. She so wants to go home, but knows she can't while she is still feeling this way.
As has always been the case, your faith and prayers, and your comments on the blog are providing her with the strength she needs to make it through this. She looks forward to being connected with you in this way. You are her connection to the outside world and a more normal life.

Jodi....I wish I could just come take your place for today, and give you a chance to get out, see your kids, and just be out of that darn room. But the one thing we can do, is pray a little harder today, that you will be well. It's been amazing to me, to read all the comments from the wonderful people who you have touched in some capacity, that are now pulling for you! I check your blog at least 10 times everyday, hoping, hoping, hoping for good news. I'll just keep checking, til we get the best news yet...'you're going home'! Until then...start making a list of all the fun things you want to do when you do get there, I'm sure by now you've got plenty of ideas! :) Hang in there! XOXO, Karen
Continued prayer and specific in requests... Thank you for the specific need!
Jodi is receiving her phd in pain and suffering. She will be leaps and bounds ahead - no pain suffered is in vain. She has been battered and beaten and blessed. She is changed and better...only in a pain-inflicting world can we be conformed to the image of Christ. Paul taught, we are, by our experiences here, "to be conformed to the image of Christ".
To me...Jodi is in battle, enduring and conquering. There is daily victory.
She and her family are an example of trust, gratitude, steadfast faithfulness and pressing forward.
God will continue to unfold His love and blessings through Jodi. She is a miracle for us all. I believe in miracles!!!
Love to all of you. Gratitude to everyone loving and praying for this precious daughter of God and her family.

hang in there Jodi!
Ask and ye shall receive... additional prayers that is! Hope the headaches decrease so YOU can feel some relief and also so you can have the strength to make it home soon!
Our most sincere and heartfelt prayers are with you Jodi. You've suffered so much I just pray He will take it from here and finish it for you so you can go home. We love you! You'll get well soon and then all this will just be a distant memory that you can build on and that will make you strong. We pray you're blessed with all you need and deserve. You've done a good job enduring this. We love you.

I'm sorry that I haven't commented for a while. I check your blog several times a day and constantly keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I had a spinal headache for a few days after a spinal tap when I was 19. I remember the torture. It was the worst pain of my life, but I had the luxury of being childless at the time. I cannot imagine having to deal with it for weeks on end, all the while worrying about your family and wanting to be home with them.
Heavenly Father is mindful of you. I know it breaks His heart to watch you endure this. You are obviously capable of more than any of us could of known. We all love you and won't stop praying for this suffering to end.
Von, Sherry & Tolan: I have kept you in my thoughts and prayers as well. Stay strong and thank you for taking such good care of Jodi! She is so blessed to have such support and everyone will be blessed because of it. Hang in there!
Jodi, Hang in there!!! You continue to be on my mind and the center of my prayers. Stay strong and know that Heavenly Father loves you and is taking care of you. You are one strong gal, an example and inspiration to so many that know you, you have strenghtened my faith just simply by watching yours.
This will soon be behind you and we will be sipping lemonade watching the kids play. I hope your pain subsides and you are able to come home SOON.
Stay Strong!!!
Lots of Love and Hugs, Kelly
Jodi, I'm so sorry you half to go through this! I will continue to prayy for you, that you might be able to go home soon! Keep thinking happy thoughts and i will too!
Jodi-
Hang in there, you are by far the toughest woman I know. Brain surgery two times in three weeks, and enduring what has to be one humdinger of a continual headache for so long earns you that title.
I hope you are free of pain and complications soon- and able to return home to your family for a full recovery.
Jodi,
We are so sorry that you are still in so much pain. It's amazing how strong you are. We can't imagine how bad you want to get home. We will continue to pray for you and your family. We hope you get some good news soon.

Jodi -
you don't need to ask! Of course we will say extra prayers - we haven't stopped yet!
Let's hope the worst is over and you are really close to the end!!
When we compare to Labor pains - there definately is worse! At least with labor - you know it will end within 24hrs!!! You have gone through sooo much - hang in there! We love you and we'll do all we can to get you home!!
Keep that smile - the best you can!
Love Always, Kelly & Belinda, K,K,B,B,B &B xoxoxoxoxoxox
Dear Jodi, Extra effort prayers will be given in your behalf. I know that you want to be home, and we will do our part to help you get there. I know you hurt and I know it is hard. Our love and prayers are with you as strong as ever.
Much Love, Carol Liptrot
Dear Jodi,
Ever since we received an e-mail from your father a few days ago, we have been following your blog religiously. It's one of the first things we look at each morning and the last thing we check before bed. We served as PCC missionaries under your father and we think he and your mom are both remarkable. You must take after them with everything you have had to go through this past month. Please know that we are praying for you on a daily basis and look forward to the blog that says you are headed home. Love, Ladd and Kathy Jones
Jodi, we check in with your mom every day and was so hoping that today was going to be THAT day when you knew you could go home and be with your sweet little family! Grandpa and I enjoyed the day that we were able to spend with your children and your mom!
Jodi, you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers, with every breath we take and we ache to see you suffer so. We love you so much Jodi and never cease to be amazed at your strenth and courage. You are so special! We know the Lord has something special in store for you and that your amazing attitude through all your suffering is noticed by Him! This much I do know, that HE loves you more that we can even begin to imagine! We keep asking why, and do not understand the why so we will continue to keep you in our prayers, and plead with the Lord to let you feel His presence and love and His healing power! God bless you Jodi!
All the family calls to check on your progress and all send their love! You are special!

I'm so sad that you're in so much pain. I am praying that the headaches stop!
Hi Jodi,
I'm sorry you have been feeling so bad after the second surgery. Stay strong. You will feel better soon. I am praying for you to have speedy recovery. Hang in there. It may just be taking time for the inflammation to subside and csf to balance out. I am sending you positive thoughts.
Love,
Michelle
Hello Jodi!
You don't know me - I actually stumbled upon your blog while searching for information about the side effects of a craniotomy. My mother suffered a traumatic brain injury and had the same surgery as you - in fact, in the same place!
It breaks my heart to know that anyone is experiencing the pain you are, and I know that these days must seem endless. My father and I have experienced some of the same feelings you and your family are experiencing - there are good days, and then there are days where nothing seems to really change.
I hope and pray for a full and speedy recovery for you, so that you can get back to life as normal. Your courage as you deal with this ordeal is an inspiration, and I believe that will carry you through.
I am going to post a link to this on the blog we have been keeping for my mother, and ask for our loved ones to send some prayers your way.
Hang in there, and keep taking those baby steps. As we have found ourselves saying - all you can do is take it one day at a time.
Jodi:
You hang in there girlfriend!!!!! I know you will be home soon!!!
Much love.
Cindy Taylor
